Ball Ground (Anetsa-Ga-Da*) Garden Club

The Ball Ground Garden Club was founded in 1951 and is very active in our community maintaining the Ball Ground Botanical Garden, hosting an annual Plant Sale and Festival on the day before Mother's Day, partnering with the Ball Ground Elementary School STEM academy, participating in Polinator Day, sponsoring 4H scholarships, taking part in the City Christmas Parade and Fall Festival (Spooktacular), as well as joint events with the local library, senior center, and other civlc groups.

The Ball Ground Botanical Garden is a beautiful and peaceful venue with over 16 individual gardens from a Cottage, Japanese, Heirloom, Native Georgian, Bog, Rock, Four Seasons, Iris, Entrance, and more. All open free to the public.

 

*Anetsa-Ga-Da is Cherokee for "Ball Ground" and we use that name to honor the Heritage, History, and Culture of the Cherokee people and tribe.
